About the Brand

GripKnott was created in a bedroom on the island of St. Maarten in 2020, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Struggling with eczema and irritation from so-called “natural” products, I began creating hair care that worked with my body and hair—not against it.

Guided by prayer and faith in Christ, GripKnott was built with intention and simplicity. Using plants, herbs, and honest ingredients, the focus shifted from trends to foundations: the scalp and the hair strand itself.

With naturally kinky, curly hair, I learned that what I once saw as a struggle was actually design. When nurtured with patience and consistency, my hair became healthier, fuller, and stronger—without forcing it to be something it was never meant to be.

GripKnott exists to extend that same care to others. Our products are crafted to support scalp balance, strengthen strands, and promote long-term hair health while honoring the natural design of every hair type.
